Free Workshop: Create cards for the holidays by carving and printing designs using traditional printmaking techniques.
Adult STEAM Night Series
November: Holiday Card Linocut
Join us for a fun, hands-on linocut block printing workshop with a focus on creating designs for Holiday cards! This free class for adults is perfect for beginners and creative spirits of all kinds.
Participants will learn the basics of linocut printmaking, using either pre-made designs or composing your own. Pre-carved modular card elements like graphics and sentiments, will also be available to use.
You'll transfer your design onto an "easy carve" block, then carve and print your own unique artwork as a card.
Our friendly Mobile Makerspace team will guide you every step of the way—from composition, to transferring your image, to using a variety of carving tools, to creating your final print on paper. All materials are provided—just bring your creativity and curiosity.
