Going offline is all the rage right now, and for many good reasons. But how can you still harness the incredible power of the Internet when you need information? How can you use the Internet, without it using YOU? If you have questions like this, come chat with us about it at Laman Library! We will have a rotation of tech-savvy librarians teaching a four-week series all about "weeding" your digital life. We'll have laptops available for use, and cookies & lemonade to snack while we chat.
This week's topic is artificial intelligence. Susannah, one of Laman's community educators, will share "the dirt" on this quickly growing technology. Is it a "bubble?" Will it take everyone's jobs? Can it destroy humanity? We'll cover all of these big questions, as well as practical tips for staying informed and choosing to opt in or out of AI in tech we already use.
This free class is open to anyone 13 and up! Bring your friends! For each session you attend, you'll be able to submit another entry to our raffle for a tech care package at the end of the series!
