Going offline is all the rage right now, and for many good reasons. But how can you still harness the incredible power of the Internet when you need information? How can you use the Internet, without it using YOU? If you have questions like this, come chat with us about it at Laman Library! We will have a rotation of tech-savvy librarians teaching a four-week series all about "weeding" your digital life. We'll have laptops available for use, and cookies & lemonade to snack while we chat.
This week's topic is big tech alternatives. Ethan of NLR Library's IT department will be sharing his own experiences and tips for moving your information off of platforms that don't always handle it with the care it deserves. This session is sure to be full of tangible ways to put what you've learned about online privacy and autonomy into practice.
This free class is open to anyone 13 and up! Bring your friends! For each session you attend, you'll be able to submit another entry to our raffle for a tech care package at the end of the series!
