Through the Cracks of Art History

Create and explore the niche, peculiar, or forgotten bits of art history! This week’s topic: Queer activism in art.

Dig a little deeper than the great masters. In this ARTgenta mini-series, we’ll be looking into some of the most fascinating and niche topics in art history! Participants will be led through a deep dive and discussion over each subject, paired with an inspired art project or craft.

This week’s topic is over queer activism in art! We’ll learn about some key artists/activists, the history and context surrounding their work, and what activism through art is. Drawing inspiration from a few choice artists, you’ll go home with a new piece of art and the knowledge to make even more!

This is a free program welcoming teens and adults with no prior knowledge or skills required! All materials will be provided.
