Using a laser cut template and slab building techniques, pillow out a beautiful three-dimensional ornament to keep for years to come.

In this beginner friendly class, you will learn about using templates, textured rolling pins, and altering slab forms to develop a one-of-a-kind ornament. Whether you’ve worked with clay before or not, this class is sure to provide a fun way to create a commemorative keepsake that can be admired year after year. Use colorful underglazes to finish the decorative process, and our staff will apply a clear glaze that will make your ornaments pop.

In this hands-on class, you'll: 

• Learn how to use soft slabs 
• Learn about manipulating soft slabs to create depth, or the pillowing technique 
• Learn how to utilize templates 
• Learn about high fire wire 
• Learn about underglaze and how to use it 
• A brief overview of the process of drying and kiln firing
