Learn the basics of birding- a hobby you can take anywhere in the world!
Birding is a hobby you can take anywhere in the world—and it all starts with learning the basics. In this program, we’ll get to know some of the common birds you’re likely to see this time of year and how to identify them by sight and sound. You’ll learn what a “life list” is and how to start one of your own, plus explore useful tools that can make birdwatching even more enjoyable. We’ll wrap up with a short, guided walk along the Arkansas River to put your new skills into practice.
We will have some binoculars available to borrow, but feel free to bring your own if you have them!
