Join us for Part 1 of the LinkedIn Basics series! James will be in the Tech Hub teaching tips and tricks for using the powerful site to make new connections.

Join James in the Tech Hub for a hands-on workshop all about LinkedIn! Whether you’re looking to build your professional brand, job hunt smarter, or simply understand what LinkedIn is about—this is your go-to session. LinkedIn isn’t just a resume site, it’s your digital handshake to the world! We’ll demystify it all in a relaxed, upbeat environment. This program is perfect for anyone looking to take their first (or next!) step in the professional world. No experience? No problem! This class is beginner-friendly and totally welcoming for anyone new to LinkedIn or just getting started online. We’ll walk you through creating a great profile, writing an engaging headline, choosing a great profile pic, listing your skills and experiences, and understanding how to connect and network. Just bring yourself and your curiosity!

We’ve got 8 laptops available for use, but if you’d prefer to bring your own device, you’re welcome to. With limited laptops available, laptops are first-come, first-served. Questions? Contact James at (jwalls@nlrlibrary.org).
