Build a custom wooden keepsake box in this beginner-friendly class. Learn tool basics, safe techniques, and go home with a treasure box of your own.

Have you ever wanted to be like a dragon with a special box to guard your most treasured objects? In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll learn how to build your own custom wooden keepsake box—perfect for storing your "hoard" of small treasures.

This introductory woodworking class is perfect for beginners with little to no experience. In this two-part class, you’ll learn to safely use essential tools like the table saw, bandsaw, and sanders while building a beautiful keepsake box from start to finish. You’ll work with contrasting wood species to create a hollowed interior, and a custom-fit lid.

All materials are provided, and you'll leave the class with new skills, hands-on experience, and a handmade wooden box you can be proud of.

What You’ll Learn:

• Basic shop safety and best practices.
• How to use the table saw to cut your wood to size.
• How to use a bandsaw to hollow out box
• How to sand, smooth, and finish your project.
