This monthly community group for LGBTQIA+ teens and families with teens is a space for you to find connection and information. Come enjoy a meal, make a craft, and connect with your local librarians.
If you're a teen in the LGBTQIA+ community or a queer family with teens, then my friend - you've come to the right place!
NLR Public Library's Queer Family Care is a monthly meeting for LGBTQIA+ teens and their grownups to connect over a shared vegan meal, a hands-on project, discussion led by one of our community partners, and lots and lots of joy.
For an hour once a month we'll get together in the Lecture Hall at Laman Library and celebrate our unique and beautiful community. We hope to see you here!
Please Note: This event is limited to teens ages 13-18 and their guardians. Activities for children and tweens will be available in the Children's Department during the same hour, and unaccompanied adults are welcome to explore the rest of the library.
If you'd like to know more, please feel free to email Bekah at bsmith@nlrlibrary.org.
