Create your own prints inspired and instructed by a local artist! 10 seats available- email Jenna at jjones@nlrlibrary.org to register.
If you've ever wanted to create your own repeatable design, this is the art class for you!
Teens can learn from the Loft's very own Bekah (who is also an artist!) about the basics of printmaking and designing your own 2D image.
Bekah will walk you through using printmaking tools to sketch and carve your design into a linoleum block, how to use a brayer to apply ink, and a baren to apply pressure evenly to the block so your prints are clear. At the end of the session, you can take your original carved block with you, along with whatever prints you make.
No previous experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided for this program.
Registration required- only 10 seats available. Email Jenna at jjones@nlrlibrary.org to register.
