Pride & Joy LGBTQIA+ Book Club
Camp Damascus
Tuesday, November 10
6:00pm - 7:30pm
Part of the LGBTQIA+ community? Love books? Come hang with us at Pride and Joy!
Pride & Joy Book Club is a space for queer & trans adults to enjoy good books and community together. This book club reads and discusses a wide range of fiction and non-fiction that reflects LGBTQIA+ experiences. We gather to chat and celebrate that though historically they were often erased, queer & trans stories have always existed, everywhere!
This month we will be discussing queer humor writer Chuck Tingle's first novel, Camp Damascus, "a searing and earnest horror debut about the demons the queer community faces in America, the price of keeping secrets, and finding the courage to burn it all down." (Goodreads)
Pride & Joy meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7:30 PM in Pocket Dimension Bookshoppe's reading room. Street parking is available. Food is available to order from Caverns and Forests next door.
No registration is required for club meetings, but if you are a new prospective member, you're encouraged to email sstubbs@nlrlibrary.org and introduce yourself!
