Pride & Joy Book Club is a space for queer & trans adults to enjoy good books and community together. This book club reads and discusses a wide range of fiction and non-fiction that reflects LGBTQIA+ experiences. We gather to chat and celebrate that though historically they were often erased, queer & trans stories have always existed, everywhere!
This month we will be discussing the young adult novel Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas, in which "a trans boy determined to prove his gender to his traditional Latinx family summons a ghost who refuses to leave."
Please note that this month is a deviation from Pride & Joy's usual 2nd Tuesday schedule! We normally meet at Pocket Dimension Bookshoppe, but this month, since we're meeting a week late on October 20th, we will be at Crush Wine Bar in Argenta.
No registration is required for club meetings, but if you are a new prospective member, you're encouraged to email sstubbs@nlrlibrary.org and introduce yourself!
