In this beginner-friendly ceramics class, you’ll create your very own garden gnome or charming figurine—perfect for brightening up a flower bed, windowsill, or bookshelf.

With expert guidance from our ceramics instructor, you’ll learn how to use basic hand-building techniques to shape your creature from the ground up. Whether you want to make a classic gnome, a quirky critter, or a whimsical woodland friend, you’ll have access to sculpting tools, texture rollers, and colorful underglazes to bring your vision to life.

This workshop is great for all skill levels and offers a relaxing, creative environment to get your hands a little messy and your imagination going. Once finished, your piece will be carefully dried, kiln-fired, and ready for pick-up just in time to add some personality to your spring decor.

In this hands-on class, you'll: 

  • Use varying ceramic techniques to create a stable figurine.
  • Learn about ceramic tools and terminology.
  • Incorporate details and add a tactile element to your piece if desired.
  • Use underglazes to add color and 2D decoration.
  • Receive brief overview of the process of drying and kiln firing.
