Finish your Summer Library Adventure by making a bracelet with UV sensitive beads that change color in the Sun and glow-in-the-dark.
Color Our World with Energy from the Sun! As part of our SLA finale event, make your own color-changing, glow-in-the-dark bracelet using UV sensitive beads.
Thursday, August 7 |5:00PM to 7:00PM
Laman Library
These special beads turn from clear to different color when exposed to Ultra-violet radiation from the Sun or black light. Although invisible to human, UV light is what cause sunburns and skin damage. If your bracelet changes color, be sure to put on Sunscreen.

NLRPLS’s Mobile Makerspace brings hands-on learning directly to classrooms and communities in North Little Rock and beyond.
Our curriculum explores Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math using a project-based interdisciplinary model and state-of-art-tools to provide an educational and life-enriching experience.
As part of the North Little Rock Public Library System, Mobile Makerspace visits are FREE for all NLR locations!
We inspire youth and adults to learn more about 21st Century technologies, enabling them to become makers, scientists, artists, and entrepreneurs. With MMS, we can help spark their desire to become life-long learners!
