Join us on a flavorful journey where food meets literature! Too Many Cooks is a unique space for passionate home cooks, food lovers, and book enthusiasts to come together, explore new recipes, and discover the stories behind the dishes. Each month, we pick a new cookbook—ranging from classic favorites to trendy new releases—and dive into its pages, cooking and discussing recipes along the way.

Whether you're an experienced chef or just starting your culinary adventure, Too Many Cooks is all about sharing ideas, learning from each other, and most importantly, enjoying the food we create. Each meeting, members will make a dish from the featured cookbook and bring it to the meetup. We will taste the dishes, discuss our favorites, and share the recipes we liked most. You’ll leave with new recipes in your repertoire, inspiration for your next meal, and a group of fellow foodies who share your passion for cooking and reading!

To Participate

Register for the meetup

* Get a copy of Ina Garten's Go-to Dinners or come by the Argenta branch (we will keep a copy at the front desk to peruse)

* Wait for an email from Molly with a document sharing which dishes will be made by others

*Make sure to respond to the email with the dish you will make

*Prepare your dish to share on April 17 and bring it to book club!

Featured This Month: Ina Garten's Go-to Dinners.

"In Go-To Dinners, Ina shares her strategies for making her most satisfying and uncomplicated dinners. Many, like Overnight Mac & Cheese, you can make ahead and throw in the oven right before dinner. Light dinners like Tuscan White Bean Soup can be prepped ahead and assembled at the last minute. Go-to family meals like Chicken in a Pot with Orzo and Hasselback Kielbasa will feed a crowd with very little effort. And who doesn’t want to eat Breakfast For Dinner? You’ll find recipes for Scrambled Eggs Cacio e Pepe and Roasted Vegetables with Jammy Eggs that are a snap to make and so satisfying. Ina’s “Two-Fers” guide you on how to turn leftovers from one dinner into something different and delicious the second night.

And sometimes the best dinner is one you don’t even have to cook! You’ll find Ina’s favorite boards to serve with store-bought ingredients, like an Antipasto Board and Breakfast-for-Dinner Board that are fun to assemble and so impressive to serve. Finally, because no meal can be considered dinner without dessert, there are plenty of prep-ahead and easy sweets like a Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie and Beatty’s Chocolate Cupcakes that everyone will rave about."
