In this digital design class, you’ll learn how to transform fonts, photos, and more into stunning vector designs that can be brought to life using our advanced tools in the makerspace.

This beginner class is your opportunity to learn how to create a vector image using the vector design software Affinity. Our instructor will also provide outlines for InkScape and Illustrator. We can't wait for you to unlock your creativity and showcase your skills! Please bring your own laptop, if possible, to retain your workspace settings.

This class requires pre-registration.

In this hands-on class, you'll learn: 

What Vector Design is.
Why Vector is necessary for CNC, Screen Printing, and Laser Cutting.
How to use the basic interface of the Affinity vector design program.
How to create simple and complex shapes.
How to create paths and curves.
How to apply this knowledge to create a simple design in vector software.
